Internal Structure of Robots

 

Robots are the combination of computational analysis and control system. It also contains actuators. The ultimate specialty of robot is its artificial intelligence. Robotics is the study of designing and manufacturing of a robot. Robotics also helps to know the different effective use of robots. Mechanical, electrical and software related utilities are included with robotics. Karel Capek first used the term robotics in 1920.he used it his play in his play R.U.R.

Robotic structure is mainly mechanical. Its structure is similar with human body. Its structure is called Kinematics’ Chain. It is formed with links, actuators. It also contains many joints. Joints allow robots for moving in degrees with freedom. Now day’s batteries are used for robot power source. But compressed gases or liquids, organic garbage’s or many others can be used for robot power source. The muscles of the robots are actuators. Electric motors are mainly used for actuators.

Sensing is one of the most important elements of robotics. Day by day the development of robot sensing is increasing. Some robots are used in real world working. Some are used for picking up some object modifying or destroying something. Some robots can walk without any external helping. But it’s a dynamic problem. Some robots can walk on two legs. But none is robust as human. Now days, many of robots are controlled by human or operated in a specified environment. But there are also many of robots which can operate autonomously. To do this navigation hardware and software is combined.

Robots can be used in homes or in non-industrial environments. Robot interacting people should have some knowledge about robotics. In future robots can be capable to communicate with human beings. The structure of a robot must be designed in such a way so that it can perform certain task. Robot controlling has three steps such as perception, processing and most importantly robot paradigms. The information which is given by the sensors is processed to give the signals to the motors. Motors move the mechanical body. The processing phase translates sensor information into motor commands.

Robot control system has different kinds of autonomy. In tele-operated devices, direct interaction is used. Sometime an autonomous robot can go for a long time without human. Such as assembly plant robots are autonomous. Now day’s lots of research are going throughout the world on robotics. Actually robots can be used in different fields where the task is difficult or dangerous for human beings. So research on robotic is increasing day by day. Technically robot is a machine which is used in various engineering field but it also be helpful in human beings natural life.

Robot’s business is popularized. There has US$500 billion business by 2020 for intelligent robot in rich countries such as Japan, U.S.A and EU countries. Many organizations like ROBOCON, TECHKRITI are organizing events on robotics. In fact robots can’t replace human beings but it is true that human beings create robot for making their life easier and simple. In this modern era robot specialists all over the world are trying to make complex robots to do complex work. Robot is the new era of science and technology. Japan is developing more and more robots now a day. They are trying to give robots such artificial intelligence so that it can react just like human beings emotions like such as fear, anger or even surprise. So it can be stated that in future we can see robots in any where doing any type of task.
