Space robotics is the progress of automated machines that are capable of surviving (for a despite the rigors of the space environment, and performing exploration, assembly, construction, maintenance,

Robots are used in space for different issue .There is four major issues in robotics. They are given below

• Mobility: it is the technique of moving between two points accurately without any collision, by using robot astronauts can minimize risk in space mission.
• Manipulation: is the using of arms and hand to promote worksite elements securely that avoid contacting unintended object.
• Time Delay: is the technique that objective is to use robot by distant human being to perform the task.
• Extreme Environments: Extreme environment occurred where environment is extremely heat or cold, radiation, dust and corrosive atmospheres.

Robot can be use in aerospace for different purpose. In orbital operation free flying robot can be used to grab, dock and manipulate while the environment is extremely unfavorable and risky. Here robot is performing works by self automated program. Research is going in Japan for developing mobile robot to for non pace application that can be used in future for space surface. Robot manipulation system or RMS consist the two armed robot
The arm can handle up to 15000 pound of hardware smoothly. Remote computer will operate the robot from distant place by human.

German researchers have also conducted survey that will use robot to catch   floating tube whose main elements will be predictive display. The system will use six axis manipulators robot grippers, connected with force move and touch using by the stereoscopic vision controlled by the ground operators or onboard shuttle.

German researchers also have conducted experiments on operation of robot in microgravity that is called ROKVISS .Its main purpose is to control the force in space station. A number of experiments of robotic application are going on in different country. In Canada the “flown” robotics is named by the MER and Canadian Shuttle station, and German DLR experiments “rotex” is using ROKVISS technology right now. Besides a number of robotics technology is waiting to be tested.

Further development is going to free flying manipulators that can capture the satellite. Another application of robot is surface exploration that is use by the different space mission. Different mission is conducted by the different country. For example moon or mars surface is conducted by the country like America Japan and Canada. In Asia Japan China India is conducting research on robot application in space. Japan is ahead on this research than other country.
